    Appalling lack of respect. Swing Low is an African American hymn,so why the feck they sing it is beyond me anyhoo.Childish singing over. Throwback from England having no real roots I always feel. Invaded so many times,we could pick so many songs,from so many countries! And so against the spirit of RU, more like football fans tbh.

    Notice how ITV and BBC always muffle the crowd noise so we cant hear how patriotic the fans are.

  • @JaquesTrebuchet

    How is this disrespectful? The Haka is an ancient war dance, a challenge to the opposition. Swing Low Sweet Chariot is just the English response. Both are great traditions mind.

    I can't believe people think this is disrespectful. Pathetic. It's not the New Zealand national anthem. So people honestly think that a stadium full of people should stand silently while a team which consists of about two maoris do a maori war dance that usually ends with a throat slitting gesture. And the irony being the cultures that war dances such as this come from would normally be the last people to moan about someone not respecting their little dance.

    Hi Will, I would definitely recommend Phoenix. They are in Goodwood and Blackbushe. I have now been flying with them for 18 months. Paul is a great leader there and has built a really good team of instructors. You are really made to feel part of the team .... as well as getting excellent training. I can't recomend them highly enough. Mark

    Its very sad I think the AB's should stop doing it when playing away from home. I mean any reaction to the Haka is a good one but 80,000 drowning out 20 is just really poor.

    The Haka is a war cry or a challenge of sorts. I think we'll all agree one of the best moments of rugby was when the irish advanced into to Haka, when wales stood their ground. Booing etc i disagree with but not an actual song. Their throwing down a gauntlet, time to pick it up and slap them round the face in response (no offence NZ)

    @jd8430t What are you talking about "put the shoe on the other foot?" How could they do the Haka over 'ours', the English don't have a dance or ritual or anything like that, so there's nothing to do it over...the one thing England do have is fans who know how to sing and support their team. They aren't singing aggressive "fuck you" lyrics, it's just an old African-American choir song that was originally used to honour a black English rugby player. Sick of this "what if they're offended" culture

  • @jd8430t
    @jd8430t 12 років тому

    @JackRabbitSlim Yes. It's all very well and good saying "It's our way of showing support for our team". But not OVER theirs!!! Think about it, think about how pissed off we would be if they started doing the Haka over ours!? We would not be happy bunnies. Put the shoe on the other foot man!!!

  • @JackRabbitSlim
    @JackRabbitSlim 12 років тому

    Or...would you rather England fans sat their meekly and silently in a giant sports arena made for song and spectacle, and said "ok, go on NZ, you have your moment of intimidation and showing your culture and proud traditions, we're not going to show OUR tradition of singing for our team which we are famed for globally in many sports, no, because someone might get offended. Do fuck off anyone who has this attitude, if you have a problem with singing a choir song, go play with dolls or something!

  • @JackRabbitSlim
    @JackRabbitSlim 12 років тому

    @jd8430t Are you fucking kidding me? I'm so fucking sick of this whiney idiotic attitude people have of "it's so disrespectful"...do ou know what the Haka is? It's a challenge, from one group to another, one nation to another, a show of intimidation; I love the Haka in all its forms, I learnt it when I was in NZ, I love the culture of it. But England are allowed to have a response to this challenge, and we do it by SINGING, it's not disrespectful, it's our way of showing support for our team!

  • @00rouchy00

    @superjono2 its not disrespectful in any way. They're on our soil and are allowed to do a war dance and we cant anything back? That in itself is disrespectful you moron

    what? 80,000 people dont have to sit and watch while NZ do a silly little war dance and your saying we cant even sing? pathetic. We can do what we want if they want to come to English soil and intimidate us than why should we cowardly sit and take it. Your saying NZ can do a silly little war dance whilst no one else can do anything? that in itself is disrespectful.

    @jd8430t "we did ours" yes we did, we responded(The haka is a war cry not some exhibition of cultural learnings) to the haka in a very English way. Why should the New Zealanders get special privileges, that is not sportsmanship that is bias.

  • @jd8430t
    @jd8430t 13 років тому

    @MrGilles1990 I disagree with you there. Where is the sportsmanship in trying to conquer a team when they are trying to act their rituals. We did ours, let them do theirs. After all rugby is a game of sportsmanship, teamwork, respect, discipline and lastly enjoyment.
